Florida wildlife officers helped rescue a person near Crane Creek

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Video released by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission shows a person being rescued by helicopter near Crane Creek in Melbourne during Monday’s flooding.

FWC confirmed that its officers were aboard the helicopter. The agency did not provide an update on the rescued person’s condition.

Flooding also washed out a road in Palm Bay

Elsewhere in Brevard County, flooding washed out the only road into a Palm Bay neighborhood, leaving about 60 households stranded. Read Channel 9’s coverage of the Palm Bay washout.
