BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A manatee that washed up on a South Melbourne beach was rescued thanks to a large team effort.

The large sea cow was rescued thanks to the coordinated efforts of Brevard County Fire Rescue and dedicated volunteers.

The animal will undergo necessary medical checkups before its return to the wild.
