DELTONA, Fla. — Volusia County deputies are searching for the man who robbed a grocery store in Deltona Saturday night while the store was still packed with customers.
Deputies said the man walked into the Winn-Dixie on Howland Boulevard about 9:30 p.m. wearing a hoodie, walked up to a cashier and demanded to know where the manager was.
The robber ordered the manager to go in the store’s office where he demanded cash.
Deputies said at one point during the robbery, the man flashed an unknown weapon underneath his waistband.
The robber fled on foot.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Deputies urge anyone with information to call the Sheriff’s Office.
