DELAND, Fla. — The Volusia County Fire Rescue extricated a pickup truck driver Saturday night after a single-vehicle crash in DeLand.

The truck rolled down an embankment off State Road 472.

The Volusia County Professional Firefighters Association Fire-rescue crews extricated a pickup truck driver Saturday night after a single-vehicle crash in DeLand.

The report says that the pickup truck veered off the road and rolled down an embankment before rescue crews arrived to extract the occupants. No other vehicles were part of the accident.

Emergency responders removed the vehicle’s roof to reach the driver. The operation required specialized coordination and training to manage the complexities of the rescue.
