A week and a half after his car crashed, flipped over and burst into flames approaching the finish line of the Daytona 500, driver Ryan Newman walked into his racing team’s shop and was greeted by a standing ovation.
Newman’s team, Roush Fenway Racing, posted photos of the moment on Twitter.
Newman was released from the hospital Feb. 19, two days after the fiery crash in Daytona Beach.
“So we had a special visitor today,” the team tweeted.
