DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — JetBlue is ending its flight service to Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB), with the final day of operations scheduled for Sept. 9.
According to a company statement, JetBlue resumed flights to Daytona Beach, expecting the local market to support the route.
However, passenger demand failed to develop as anticipated and the financial performance of the flight worsened, prompting the airline to discontinue the service and redeploy aircraft to markets with stronger demand.
In a statement, JetBlue said customers on affected flights will be notified directly and will receive a full refund to their original form of payment.
The airline also acknowledged its local partners, stating that it appreciated the assistance and partnership of the team at Daytona Beach International Airport during its tenure in the market.
