DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The Daytona Beach Police Department is searching for a 26-year-old man wanted for shooting a 38-year-old man in the head during an argument.
Police said Terrell Kevon Jones is a convicted felon who they believe shot Dewayne Gaddy early Friday morning inside Gaddy’s apartment on North Lincoln Street.
Investigators were notified of the shooting about eight hours after it happened.
Once inside the apartment, detectives said they discovered Jones and his girlfriend, Geneiva Reeves, attempted to clean up the crime scene with bleach and tried to throw away evidence in a dumpster at the Mt. Carmel Apartments.
Investigators said they were able to recover the evidence inside the dumpster and found more evidence, which included Reeves’ address.
Reeves is in custody on a charge of accessory after the fact to attempted second-degree murder, police said. She has been booked at the Volusia County Jail.
Investigators said they found Gaddy nearly 12 hours after the shooting inside a Winnebago parked in the backyard of a home on Jefferson Street. They said he was found with a gunshot wound on his forehead.
