Police said a woman in a Toyota RAV4 was driving southbound on Derbyshire Road when she made a left turn at the intersection. They said she completed the turn while she had a green light.

After she completed the turn, the woman said she saw the 13-year-old attempting to cross 6th street before it hit head-on with the front of her vehicle.

Investigators said the teenager was thrown off the dirt bike.

The teenager was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The woman driver stayed at the scene until police arrived, investigators said.

Investigators said the dirt bike, a 2020 Suzuki RMZ 450, was reported stolen from the Daytona Power Sports on March 27, and the teenager was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
