ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Several search and arrest warrants are being served Thursday at homes in Orange County.

A handful of unmarked police cars were parked and FBI and drug enforcement agents were walking around a property in the 2000 block of Chatham Place Drive near Landstar Boulevard.

Authorities said it is part of a bigger drug operation that stretches across the Interstate 4 corridor between Orlando and Tampa.

Investigators were walking off the property with bags of evidence.

An FBI spokeswoman said agents were serving search and arrest warrants at the Chatham Place Drive location and nearby condo complex.

Investigators said they targeted several people in the Tampa area and made three arrests in Orlando.

Residents reported hearing a loud boom early in the morning, which might have been agents knocking down a door.

A woman who drops off her children in the neighborhood with family for the day said she has wondered about the home for a long time.

“Every time I would come in the morning or afternoon, it was always people outside, hanging out or whatever,” said Paula Espinosa. “I would always look and go, 'OK, something weird is going on there.'”

No other details were released.
