Water quality advisory issued for River-to-Sea Preserve

, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health-Flagler has issued a water quality advisory for River-to-Sea Preserve.

“Tests completed August 3, 2026, indicate that the water quality on the beach at the River to Sea Preserve does not meet the recreational water quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria recommended by the Florida Department of Health,” according to a release from the Florida Department of Health-Flagler.

Due to an increased risk of illness, officials advise against all water-related activities at the northeast Flagler County beach.

The advisory will remain in effect until bacteria levels drop below acceptable thresholds.
