Winter Park Village revamp may be bellwether, expert says

The $50 million reimagining of Winter Park Village has had any number of objectives.

These range from reinvigorating one of the region’s legacy lifestyle centers to securing high-end tenants across the retail, restaurant and entertainment sectors — goals it either has completed or is close to completing, with the looming announcement of its final new tenant and fully leased status.

For one of the teams involved — Longwood-based landscape architecture firm Dix.Hite + Partners Inc. — one of the objectives it had was to make car drivers in select spaces feel a little uncomfortable.
