ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — New evidence was released Friday in the case of a suspected brothel that has brought down two local politicians.
Eyewitness News obtained hours of interviews from the case conducted by law enforcement.
Investigators interviewed several alleged prostitutes who worked for Mark Riser, whom they refer to as "Byrd."
The women said they didn't know they were sleeping with local politicians, like state Rep. Mike Horner or former Maitland Vice Mayor Phil Bonus -- whose names were on the client list.
They reveal just how intricate Risner's suspected brothel setup was and how much control he had over every aspect of it.
The alleged prostitutes said he took the brothel business very seriously. "He sets up, verifies the guys because they have a whole little contact page they had to fill out or whatever, and so he Googles them to make sure they're good," said one witness.
That alleged prostitute who worked for Risner said he would also set up website pages for the women. The women would go to his home, allegedly where the brothel was located, where he would take pictures of them and advertise their website.
"It's his business, it's his brand. We're the "Love GFE Girls," said Penny, a prostitute.
GFE stands for girlfriend experience, and that's how they say he promoted them on websites he created to get them clients.
One of the women said she had no idea he had made a website promoting her until her own father confronted her.
The women said this a 24-hour business.
They said they were on call all the time and couldn't turn down dates; otherwise Risner would dock their pay, which one girl said was as much as $800 in a day.
The girls said Risner always took 25 percent and had a step-by-step procedure they had to follow.
"From phone conversation with the client," said an alleged prostitute.
"Mm-hmm," said a detective.
"To the client getting to the door, directions being given, when the client appeared to be at the door, how you were to stand behind the door," Gerrie said.
Risner would then pretend to be the girl on each and every email they received from the clients, according to the witness.
The witness said Risner had a hidden camera recording the sex acts through peepholes, and the clients had no idea they were being watched from the moment they knocked on the door.
One woman only found out about that during questioning.
"There's a video camera in the room," said the detective.
"Recording us? Like video tapes?" said the witness.
"When I met them at the door, he would go around, out of his bathroom, into that other room, and he would listen. When I went back to the room he would go back to his office," said the witness.
"Through the bathroom?" asked the detective.
"Yeah, through the bathroom, and look through the peephole," said the witness.
The women told detectives Risner Googled every client, which is probably how he knew he had clients like Horner and Bonus.
"He would tell us right off the bat. Like you need to make, he used to tell me, make sure he comes back," Penny said.
Some of the women say Risner was so meticulous with his instructions because of his background that he often mentioned.
"Retired Navy, and I'm like how the hell are you pimping hookers? How do you go from that, to that?" Gerrie said.
WFTV also obtained text messages between the women working at the alleged brothel.
One texted another that she was concerned because one of her clients said his brothers were high up in law enforcement here in Orange County.
It's not clear from any of the records who that might be.
The brothel scandal cost Horner and Bonus their jobs.
Horner abruptly dropped out of his race for re-election when WFTV broke the story last month.
Businessman Mike Larosa is running in his place.
Bonus stepped down from office, and then resigned from his City Council seat last week.
Maitland will appoint a new City Council member at its meeting Monday. That person will hold the seat until March when a permanent replacement is elected.
