ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a 25-year-old Winter Springs woman who was critically injured on Aug 14along State Road 50 in Orange County.
The crash occurred around 6:17 am in the eastbound lanes of State Road 50, just east of St. Nicholas Avenue.
Troopers reported the woman was standing outside her parked 2021 Nissan Kicks on the right shoulder when an oncoming vehicle struck her and drove away.
The woman was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she remained in critical condition.
A witness described the hit-and-run vehicle as possibly an SUV of an unknown color. Troopers said the vehicle continued eastbound after hitting the pedestrian.
