SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A worker died Tuesday after becoming trapped inside a concrete truck, according to a Seminole County Sheriff’s Office report.
Deputies responded around 12:38 p.m. to the area of Chantal Lane after receiving a report of a man who was stuck in a dump truck. When deputies arrived, they found the man lying on the ground and unresponsive.
It mentions the man had injuries to his head, chest, and eyes, as well as bruising on his chest and stomach.
Investigators reported that the victim was working on a concrete truck. A family member told deputies that the truck had not operated correctly all day.
The relative said he found the victim face down in the concrete truck, pulled him out, and dragged him onto the grass before first responders arrived.
The report states family members urged emergency crews to check for signs of life, but firefighters later confirmed the victim had no pulse and no vital signs.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, and it is unclear what caused the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
