ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that took the life of a man who was trying to cross East Colonial Drive.
Eyewitnesses say the man was crossing Colonial Drive at a light near Rouse Road Tuesday night but kept walking when his light turned red. That is when the driver of a silver Pontiac hit and killed 31-year-old Joseph Leo of Oviedo.
The driver of the car, 23-year-old Michael Pucci of Dunnellon, suffered minor injuries in the crash. He does not face any charges.
Colonial Drive was closed down briefly while the Florida Highway Patrol investigated the incident.
