ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — State Rep. Anna Eskamani has won her reelection to Florida’s House District 47 race, according to election officials.
Eskamani, the Democratic incumbent, defeated her challenger, Republican candidate Jeremy Sisson, according to data just released by election officials.

Born and raised in Orlando, Eskamani is the daughter of Iranian immigrants. She was elected to the Florida State House to represent District 47 in 2018.
She is a Ph.D. student in Public Affairs at UCF, serves as an adjunct professor and works full-time at NEO Philanthropy.

In 2019, she sponsored 10 bills herself and co-sponsored more than sixty. In 2020, she sponsored 17 bills and co-sponsored more than 100.
Sisson is an entrepreneur, small-business owner and commercial real estate expert. He works as the chief executive officer of Evan James and Associates and is responsible for the business' vision, long-term strategy and growth. He has 20 years of business experience.
House District 47 includes portions of Orlando and Orange County, including Lake Conway in the south, Lake Killarney in the north, and Colonial Drive area between Semoran Boulevard and the Lake Ivanhoe area.
