- Wash your car - don't use dish soap, as it can actually damage the paint. Use a soap formulated for your car and be sure to rinse clean and then dry with towels!
- After your ride is nice and dry, apply a coat of wax! You don't need to do this every time – 2-3 times a year should suffice – but the wax will help prevent damage from the sun's UV rays as well as debris out on the road!
- Be sure to shine up those tires and clean your wheels to make sure your car is in tip-top shape!
- Clean your windows, too! You should use a spray formulated for vehicles as some cleaners will strip the tint and damage the way it looks. Let our Toyota Service techs help you pick one out from our Orlando Toyota parts center!
Interior:
- Take out your floormats and empty out your car, including the trunk! Carrying around extra junk just takes up space, reduces fuel efficiency, and encourages dust. Vacuum or shake your mats to get them dirt-free!
- Vacuum your car out and use condensed air to blow out the vents and get them dust-free. Make sure you get places like under the seats and the cup holders!
- You should also consider shampooing your seats and floormats if you REALLY want to get into spring cleaning – your ride will smell amazing!
- Wipe down the surfaces of your ride with a protectant cleaner that not only gets things shining, but also protects them from UV rays! You might also want to invest in a sunshade to protect the dash – our Orlando Toyota service and parts center can help you find the right size.
- Don't forget to clean the interior of the glass and your rearview mirror!
