MARION COUNTY, fla. — The Multi-Agency Drug Enforcement Team (MADET) put 10 people in the Marion County jail Wednesday night.
The arrests were made during a prostitution sting. The suspects offered either cash or drugs in exchange for sexual favors, officers said.
Investigators arrested Shehabeldia Osman, 31, of Lake City, Donald Braddock, 70, of McIntosh, Lonny Deeley, 49, of Ocala, Gabriel Garcia, 20, of Ocala, Luis Gonzalez, 39, of Homestead, Arthur Young, 62, of Ocala, Blas Hernandez, 40, of Tampa, Christopher Bossidy, 26, (home unknown), Patrick Reed, 47, of Ocala and Anthony Jones, 48, of Ocala.
"It is important to conduct such law enforcement actions, because prostitution or the solicitation of a prostitute is illegal. Secondly, often there are other criminal acts connected to the prostitution, such as drugs and violence," said Judge Cochran of the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
The suspects' bonds range from $500 to $2,500.
