ORLANDO, Fla. — Bursts of colorful light lit up the skies in Central Florida Sunday night in celebration of the Fourth of July.
Rainy weather didn't stop thousands of people from coming out to see the fireworks in the skies over Orange County.
Every inch around Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando was packed with spectators, who saw quite a patriotic fireworks show.
The "Fireworks at the Fountain" event was a big talker but so was the weather.
Cloudy skies and scattered showers caused some concerns. But those who really wanted to experience this annual Fourth of July celebration told us they just had to whip out the umbrellas and hunker down.
Orlando police officers helped keep an eye on more than 100,000 people who came out for the family fun activities, food and music.
That number doesn't including the people who had front row seats from surrounding buildings.
