Police in Canada have concluded that a syringe that ended up in a girl’s trick-or-treat bag was an accident and not a malicious act.
The culprit? A cat with a penchant for knocking things over.
Authorities investigated the case after two teenage girls found the syringe in one of their candy bags, the

reported. It is believed that the cat knocked over a box of insulin syringes, and one fell into a bag of candy that was then handed out to trick-or-treaters.
According to the CBC, the cat refused comment.
