According to People magazine and E! News, the 36-year-old dancer and TV personality revealed his diagnosis Tuesday in a social media post.
“Hey, everyone. I have some news to share, and I wanted you to hear it straight from me,” he said in an Instagram video. “Even though I’ve been fully vaccinated, I’ve just been diagnosed with a breakthrough case of COVID. I just found out, and I feel OK. I feel strong, but I’m currently taking advice from medical professionals, doing everything I can to get better as fast as I can. I’m currently in quarantine, and I’ll make sure I keep you guys all updated with what’s going on. I just want to send my love out there to you all, and, yeah, stay safe.”
Hough also wrote that he will reschedule his Las Vegas shows originally slated for this week, the outlets reported.
The news comes less than a week before the Season 30 finale of “Dancing With the Stars.” Hough did not say how the diagnosis would affect the show, according to People magazine.
