HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida resident waiting for a meal delivery did not expect a deputy to arrive with the goods.
A Hillsborough County deputy transitioned into a delivery man after arresting a DoorDash driver, WFLA-TV reported.
In a video posted to the sheriff’s office TikTok account on Sunday, the deputy is shown knocking on the door at an apartment complex. The sheriff’s office explained that the driver had two outstanding warrants.
The deputy, bag in hand, handed the woman her food order, according to WFLA.
While the video was posted Sunday, it was unclear when the video was actually taken, or where in Hillsborough County it was delivered.
“District I deputies went above and beyond after arresting a DoorDash driver who was was in the process of delivering food,” the sheriff’s office wrote on TikTok.
“Probably scared the (expletive) outta her though at first,” one person posted in response to the video.
It is not the first time a law enforcement officer stepped in for an arrested delivery driver.

In January, a police officer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, delivered an Arby’s lunch order through DoorDash to a surprised customer.
The sheriff’s office in Florida did not indicate whether the customer tried to tip the deputy for his efforts.
