BATON ROUGE, La. — Three people, including an 18-month-old girl, are dead after gunfire erupted near a Louisiana apartment complex on Memorial Day, authorities said.
According to WAFB and WBRZ, the incident occurred about 8 p.m. local time Monday near Fairway View Apartments in Baton Rouge. After receiving a report of a possible shooting, Baton Rouge police arrived to find two men, ages 20 and 17, dead, WAFB reported. A third victim, identified as a toddler girl, later died from her injuries, as well, authorities said.
Police have not released the victims’ names or descriptions of possible suspects. No further information was immediately available.
