2013 Scion FR-S in Orlando packs a big punch
How do these Scion and Subaru counterparts differ?
- Some are speculating that one of the reasons the new Scion FR-S in Orlando is outselling the Subaru BRZ is because it's not only more available to drivers – it's also more affordable. The BRZ kicks off at just over $28,000, making it a bit pricier of an option.
- The Scion sports car also has a "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" mentality. It comes in one trim-level, so you know exactly which features you're getting when you purchase it. The Subaru model comes in two trim-levels, the Premium and Limited.
- You'll also notice a difference between this Orlando Scion and the Subaru sports car when it comes to appearance. The new Scion FR-S has a slightly different bumper and front grille, and comes in a palette of paint colors that's unique to the brand. You can choose hues like Raven, Whiteout, Firestorm, Hot Lava, and Ultramarine.
- The Subaru BRZ comes standard with navigation services and an ungraded sound system; this is part of the reason why it's a tad bit pricier than its Scion sibling. However, all of these options are available on the Scion model if you choose to integrate them!
- Finally, performance. Only skilled driving aficionados can really detect a difference, but some maintain that the new Scion FR-S is a bit more willing to rotate around its center axis, resulting in better maneuvering (especially around those hairpin turns you're dying to take on).
