MAITLAND, Fla. — SunRail riders experienced long delays this morning after one train crashed into a car in Orange County and signal issues slowed down trains in Seminole County.

The Maitland Police Department said the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. SunRail officials tweeted that riders experienced delays of up to an hour. No injuries were reported.

SunRail officials said the signal issues in Seminole were tied to severe weather that blew through this weekend.

Monday morning's crash and the signal issues are not connected, officials said.

Officials said a power line came down during the storms, which is impacting the train signal and the control system from Sanford to Longwood.

Passengers said they were waiting upward of 95 minutes for their trains in Longwood.
