The forecast:

The heat will continue, temperatures reaching the low to mid-90s and the heat indices reaching the 100's. Stay hydrated, drinking water throughout the day. If you work outdoors or have plans to be outdoors for a prolonged period, make sure to take break under the shade.

Wednesday expect a similar pattern across Central Florida, afternoon storms after the sea breeze ignites pushing then inland. Typical chance for them to be strong producing damaging gusts, small hail and some minor flooding.

Lightning is not a criteria for a severe thunderstorm warning to be issued. All thunderstorms have lightning and lightning can be deadly. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to get struck by lightning. Make sure to stay weather aware and track the storms.
