Sunday's weather forecast
With a strong high pressure system building over the southeastern United States, the disturbance will start on a westerly track, crossing Central Florida very early Sunday. As its "center" moves off land, pulling moisture from the Atlantic, there is a higher chance for showers and scattered storms Sunday. The showers are forecast to start late morning along the coast and by 2 p.m. moving over inland counties.

Winds will also be strong starting Sunday, mainly from the east at 20 mph. They will be slightly higher along the coast. Seas will be rough and there is a high risk of rip currents.
