LIVE RADAR: Severe thunderstorm warnings issued for Orange, Osceola counties

Update:

Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for Orange and Osceola counties, effective through 7:45 p.m.

Certified meteorologist George Waldenberger said severe thunderstorms produced winds of almost 60 mph near Orlando Sanford International Airport and that the storms are moving toward Oviedo.

The storms are bringing intense lightning to the area, Waldenberger said.

He said the system threatens to bring winds in excess of 60 mph in the area around Walt Disney World.

Isolated storms will continue to move through parts of Central Florida through 9 p.m, Waldenberger said.
