ORLANDO, Fla. — It's forecast to be a rainy Thanksgiving Thursday in Central Florida.
Much of the region will experience showers throughout the day, and some will linger into the evening. About an inch of rain is expected.
Thunderstorms could bring downpours and wind gusts to some areas, Channel 9 certified meteorologist Brian Shields said.
Lingering showers are expected Friday.

"While it is usually a dry time of year, a storm system is moving in from the Gulf of Mexico," Shields said. "This will bring on-and-off rain and storms through(out) our Thanksgiving."

"There will still be a chance of rain ... (on) Black Friday, but it will be more scattered," Shields said. "We’ll have a 50 percent chance of rain."
Weekend conditions are forecast to be drier and cooler. Evening temperatures could dip into the 50s.
