ORLANDO, Fla. — Spotty and brief showers will continue through sunset Sunday. Monday’s weather will be a repeat of Sunday, with brief and spotty showers happening in the afternoon.

A higher chance of rain returns Tuesday. Hazardous rip currents at area beaches will also be an issue.
By Tuesday, the next tropical depression may form as this disturbance moves toward the GA/SC Coast for Tuesday night.
There are a couple disturbances in the tropics that we’re watching: the first is a low pressure area about 400 miles off our east Florida coast. As it moves over warm, Gulf Stream waters, the National Hurricane Center is forecasting a 50% chance of it developing.

For Central Florida, we’re watching our rip current risk and surf conditions at our beaches and an increase in rain by Tuesday.

The second disturbance is about 3,000 Miles to our southeast, over the Tropical Atlantic. Over the next five days, the NHC has given it a 30% chance of developing.

There are a lot of questions with this disturbance, but as it quickly moves toward the Caribbean, we’ll keep an eye on if it can even form, and if so, where it is by the end of the week.

To add to the activity, there’ll likely be a third disturbance that will follow it in the days ahead.
