Every dollar made Sunday will be sent to the family.

“Just to show Officer Raynor and the community that we support him and the community supports him,” said organizer Kelsie Owens.

Owens doesn’t know Raynor personally, but said her father is retired from the Daytona Police Department and her stepmother is still with the department.

Owens also stated that when you mess with one part of their law enforcement family, you mess with all of them.

“I was raised with a lot of them. I’ve known a lot of them since I was a baby. So it’s really hard to hear that one of them is hurt or injured,” Owens said.

Others, like Michelle Neighbor, said you can’t have a community if you don’t support one another when times are tough.

“It’s about community. We moved to Daytona about a year ago and we love it here. So, it’s all about keeping our city safe, keeping it whole and being a community.”

Sunday’s fundraiser raised $5,934.
