SANFORD, Fla. — Sanford and other areas of Seminole County have experienced flooding as Hurricane Matthew prepares to make landfall.
Sanford has experienced close to nine inches of rain by 11 p.m. Thursday.
The Seminole County Emergency Operations Center said the floods are localized and should drain, however, people need to stay off the roads.
None of the shelters are close to capacity. %

They’re expecting more people to come to the shelters tomorrow after the worst part of the storm crosses and electricity is out.
