Astra believes it knows why its launch failed last month

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Astra Space believes it knows why its launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station failed.

The company said there was a problem during the stage separation process, which resulted in the upper stage not reaching orbit.

Astra also discovered a software issue.

Investigators said there was an error in an electrical harness engineering drawing.

The company said both issues have been resolved.

The mission failed to deliver four satellites into orbit for NASA last month.
