BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Brevard County has earmarked millions of dollars for families hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, but the county said few are seeking assistance.
The county believes it may be because many may not know that help is available.
“We know there’s a great need out there and what we’re trying to do is get the word out to folks that we’ve identified roughly $6 million through CARES Act money, through community block grant money, through community service grants, through low-income housing assistance program that we help folks out in need,” said Don Walker, Brevard County communications director.
