DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, Fla. — Buckle up. Hundreds of trucks could be driving into Volusia County this weekend.
This weekend’s TruckToberFest comes a month after a big truck event caused headaches for some people living along the coast, who claim the trucks were loud, noisy and disruptive.
Lt. Michael Schoenbrod with Daytona Beach Shores police said the department learned a lot from what happened last month and is using those lessons to prepare for this weekend’s event.
Schoenbrod said every officer will be on duty this weekend.
He said they are also working with some of the businesses to make it easier for police to trespass people if things get out of hand.

Police said they are also working with the event’s organizer, who is also putting out a message asking everyone to be respectful and follow the rules.
