Heat advisory continues for Sunday as heat index hits 105° to 109°

Isolated showers and thunderstorms may occur during the middle of the afternoon on Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. — A heat advisory has been issued once again for Sunday.

The increased humidity will also raise the heat index to between 105° and 109° across central Florida.

A high-pressure system has been over the Southeast for a few days. This will continue to feed the heat through the entire weekend.

Central Florida saw very little rain yesterday and Sunday is projected to be another mostly dry day.

A few smaller showers and thunderstorms are possible in the middle of the afternoon with isolated pockets of heavy rain.

Saturday Morning WX Report The increased humidity will also raise the heat index to 105°-109° across central Florida.

This will not be enough to provide relief for the rest of central Florida.

These hot conditions will continue into the start of the next work week.

Rain chances will return to the forecast by Tuesday or Wednesday.
