The group issued recalls Tuesday for seven hoverboard models because the toys pose a potential fire hazard, CPSC officials said.

The models have lithium-ion battery packs that can overheat, posing a risk of smoking, catching fire and possibly exploding, CPSC officials said.
At least 13,000 units are affected in the recall. The most popular model is the iLive Self-Balancing Hoverboard. The models were sold at Ace Hardware and HH Gregg and Heartland America catalog.
