Lakeland Highlands Hospital welcomes 100th baby since opening last summer

Baby Hudson’s arrival marks a milestone for the hospital, which opened July 8

LAKELAND, Fla. — Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital has welcomed its 100th baby since opening to patients this summer.

Hudson, the son of Abigail and Chance Kiuber, weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces, according to hospital officials.

The milestone comes less than four months after the hospital opened July 8, expanding healthcare services in Lakeland.

“Everyone was so kind from the moment that we walked in,” Abigail Kiuber said in a statement. “As a first-time mom going through birth, all of my nurses I had were so patient and thorough.”

Maternity tours available

Expectant mothers can now register for guided tours of the hospital’s Center for Women and Babies, part of Orlando Health Women’s Institute.

The tours offer a look at labor and delivery suites and postpartum rooms, along with opportunities to ask questions about services and what to expect during a hospital stay.

Registration is for expectant mothers, who may bring one partner or support person. Children are not permitted on the tours.
