Orange County man found competent in Orlando teen murder case

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man accused of killing a teenager was found competent in Orange County court Thursday morning.

Investigators say Jerry Dorisme stabbed 13-year-old Rose Dieujuste to death.

It happened on July 4th of last year.

Earlier this month, two doctors said Dorisme is competent to stand trial.

However, the judge couldn’t rule on it then because Dorisme required an interpreter, who was not in court then.

Thursday morning, a judge ruled Dorisme was competent to stand trial and scheduled the next hearing for April 21.
