“Always checking on us, she loved being an aunt to my daughter,” her sister Rose Wright said.

That light will never be dimmed, even in the wake of tragedy.

Augustin, 38, was one of three people killed during a shooting spree Wednesday in Pine Hills.

“We are still trying to process the initial shock of all of this,” Wright said. “It’s an indescribable pain to lose a loved one in this way.”

Wright went on to say, “Justice needs to be served,” but that it’s difficult “to talk about what that looks like.”

Wright said she wasn’t comfortable talking about the accused shooter, 19-year-old, Keith Moses, and the questions lingering about why he targeted her sister, the first victim in the shooting spree.

“I want them to know what a loving and giving person she is,” Wright said. “She’s a big supporter of everyone. It’s a big, empty space this is leaving in our hearts.”

Augustin’s family said she was also a rapper at one point, and a very good one.
