ORLANDO, Fla. — Vista Lakes residents say they don’t want a proposed cell tower in their neighborhood.
T-Mobile has proposed putting the 125-foot tower, which includes a 5-foot lightning rod, behind a church.
A change.org petition reached 175 signatures of its 200-signature goal as of Wednesday evening.
The city has said it expects to build hundreds of new towers and small nodes starting next year to help cell companies bring true 5G service to Orlando.
The fight will go to the Municipal Planning Board on the morning of Dec. 17.
