NEW YORK — New York City police have released photos and video of a driver accused of hitting a pedestrian while doing donuts with a car, fracturing the victim’s skull.
Video from police shows a red two-door Infinity sedan doing donuts in lower Manhattan. In the video, there are bystanders visible, and several come close to the car, apparently filming with their phones.
One man, identified only by police as a 23-year-old, fell into the street and was driven over. Police said he suffered a fractured skull, brain injury and severe trauma to his body. On Monday, police said that the victim was in critical condition.
The incident happened at 12:01 a.m., WNBC reported. Police said that they hope by releasing the video and photos of the driver they will be able to track him down.
A yellow decal is visible on the side of the car that reads, “Tyler Spec.”
