Fremont Police and the Michigan State Police put out calls for help finding Anthony, Suzette, Noah and Brandon Cirigliano, a family who has not been seen or heard from since the morning of Oct. 16. In a news release, Michigan State Police said that it is uncharacteristic for the family to disappear, and that when the family was last heard from, Tony was exhibiting “paranoid behaviors.”

“We don’t see any signs of violence, we don’t see any signs of foul play right now. There’s no signs of struggle inside the home,” Freemont Police Department Chief Tim Rodwell told WOOD. “But everyone we’ve talked to … they all describe this to be extremely abnormal behavior from Tony and Suzette.”

Tony Cirigliano placed a bizarre call to 911 on the day the family was last seen. On the call, a copy of which was obtained by WZZM, Cirigliano said to a dispatcher that he needs immediate police protection because he has information regarding September 11.

“It is of vital national interest,” Cirigliano said on the call. “It is related to September 11. And people want to erase me from the face of the earth. I’m not crazy. … I’m a Christian. I just need some help. And then the US government will take it from here. I know this sounds crazy.”

Officers were dispatched to the house, and spent approximately 45 minutes speaking to Cirigliano and his wife, WOOD reported. The officers said they ensured everyone was safe and that “mental illness wasn’t putting anybody in jeopardy,” Rodwell told the station.

Tony Cirigliano spoke to his mother at approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday, which was the last known contact with the family, WOOD reported. Cirigliano’s mother was unable to reach the family on Monday.

State police said in the news release that when investigators went to the family’s house, they found their cell phones had been turned off, and family pets had been left behind, along with a family member who needs full-time care.

Suzette Cirigliano’s mother, who has dementia, was found walking around the neighborhood Monday night, prompting neighbors to call police, WOOD reported. Her mother is now in the care of other family members.

The two children in the family, Brandon, 19, and Noah, 15, both have autism, state police said in the news release. The family may be driving a silver 2005 Toyota Sienna with MI registration DJL1982.

Neighbors who talked to WOOD said Tony Cirigliano appeared troubled over the weekend and said “bad things” were going to happen. The family homeschooled their sons and “kept to themselves,” neighbors told the station.
