CINCINNATI — Santa is making sure nobody is left out this Christmas – including our four-legged friends.
According to WLWT, Mr. Claus made a special trip to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden on Tuesday to give holiday gifts and treats to the animals, including a ball for baby rhino Ajani Joe and bamboo for the red pandas.
The hippo Fiona, who turns 4 next month, “was thrilled with the lettuce that he brought her and liked the box it was on just as much,” the zoo’s director, Thane Maynard, said in a statement. “Baby wallaby Pocket and baby giraffe Theo took their time investigating Santa’s gifts.”
A video, which shows a masked Santa giving the animals their gifts, quickly made the rounds online. By Wednesday morning, the clip had received more than 4,100 views on YouTube and 4,300 likes on Facebook.
