BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A 15-year-old boy was hit by a train Tuesday evening in Brevard County's Port St. John neighborhood, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Firefighters were called shortly before 9 p.m. to Fay Boulevard near Curtis Boulevard, where the boy was "clipped," troopers said.
Firefighters said the boy was taken to a hospital under a trauma alert status, but troopers said he is in stable condition.

Deputies said the road has reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
