ORLANDO, Fla. — Tropical Storm Peter and Tropical Storm Rose formed over the weekend.
A reconnaissance aircraft found that Tropical Storm Peter has changed very little.

The storm is expected to pass north of the Leeward Islands early this week.
Peter’s winds are near 50 mph, with higher gusts.

Forecasters said Peter is expected to slowly weaken over the next several days.
Tropical Storm Rose continues to move over the eastern tropical Atlantic with no change in strength.

Forecasters said Rose could slightly strengthen later Monday. By Tuesday, Rose is expected to start to weaken.
Rose’s winds are near 40 mph.
