WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — Just after 1 a.m. on Nov. 21 Winter Garden police were called to a home on Social Lane for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the home they found 48-year-old Anthony Washington dead from a gunshot wound.

At the time, the only clues police had were from the victim’s wife and a neighbor’s doorbell camera.

The video shows what appears to be a man in a ski mask and dark clothing running across the front yard as Anthony pulls into the driveway of his home.

Latisha Washington said she was on the phone with her husband just moments before the shooting.

“We were on the phone and he said he was pulling up so I hung up,” Washington said.

She said when she went outside seconds later she found Anthony dead.

“When I walked over, that’s when I saw him lying on the ground,” Washington said.

In the months that have followed there still hasn’t been an arrest in the shooting but Sgt. Dave Clarke with Winter Garden police said the case is far from cold.

“There’s just a massive amount of information we are going through,” Clarke said.

Clarke said whoever shot Washington was most likely waiting for him.

“It looks as though someone was lying in wait for Anthony,” Clarke said.

Detectives say once they can establish a motive for the shooting they can move forward with the investigation.

That is why they are asking for help from the public.

“They can either contact us and if they don’t feel comfortable they can contact Crimeline,” Clarke said.

As for Latisha, she just wants justice for her husband.

“I’m praying and I’m hoping somebody is going to say something,” she said
