WINTER PARK, Fla. — The Winter Park Police Department said Monday that a man who died Sunday after being found at a Winter Park mansion had a medical episode.

Police said they were called to the home on Genius Drive near Henkel Court for a medical emergency.

They said a man in the home was taken to a hospital, where he died.

“Upon the completion of the preliminary investigation, it appears that the current resident, Mr. Robert Picerne, suffered a medical event that resulted in his death,” Winter Park Police Department Lt. Edwin Santos Jr. said. “As with any death that occurs within the city of Winter Park, the Winter Park Police Department responds and conducts a thorough and complete investigation at the scene.”
