A man died Wednesday morning after being discovered shot at an apartment complex near Winter Park, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies said they were called at about 11 a.m. to the Winter Park Pointe apartments on Semoran Boulevard near Aloma Avenue.

The injured man was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Investigators said they have no details about the gunman.
Residents told Channel 9 that they heard six to eight gunshots. They said the man appeared to have been shot in the head and was lying beside a car.

The shooting remains under investigation.
