ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 24-year-old Orlando woman died Tuesday morning after being hit by a van while crossing State Road 535 in a crosswalk, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the woman, identified as Eloise Le Brun, died at the hospital after being airlifted from the scene around 3 a.m. Items, including a pizza box and sneaker, littered the road Tuesday morning following the accident.
They said the woman was trying to cross at the intersection of State Road 535 and Meadow Creek Drive.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation, including whether the woman or the driver of the van had the right of way.
FHP encourages any witnesses to call 407-737-2213.
The road reopened just before 7 a.m.
The county told Channel 9 that the crosswalk signal was broken and that a technician repaired two buttons Tuesday afternoon.
It is unknown if the broken signal played a role in the crash.
